Senna

Ayrton Senna's journey into motorsport began in his childhood in São Paulo, Brazil, fueled by a passion for cars he shared with his father, who gifted him a go-kart at age four. This early start led him to officially compete in karting at thirteen, where he dominated for eight years. After a brief hiatus to honor a family commitment, his deep-seated passion for racing called him back to Europe. There, he quickly proved his talent, winning the 1982 European championship and the 1983 British and European Formula 3 titles, which opened the door to Formula 1.

Senna's Formula 1 career, which began in 1984 with the Toleman team, was marked by incredible determination and skill, leading to his most successful years with McLaren. Known for his fearless driving on the track and his empathy off it, he became a national hero in Brazil and a global icon. His legacy transcends his numerous victories; it lives on through the Ayrton Senna Institute, founded in 1994. This organization fulfills his dream of providing educational opportunities to Brazilian children and has impacted millions of students, cementing his status as not just a racing legend but also a great humanitarian.
