The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) is a German-based sports car racing series that utilizes modified Group GT3 cars. From 2000 to 2020, the DTM employed prototype silhouette cars based on production models.

The Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) was a touring car racing series primarily held in Germany from 1984 to 1996, with some races in other parts of Europe and globally, reviving racing with production-based cars after its predecessor, the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft, transitioned to expensive Group 5 and Group C cars, causing its decline; a new series, the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, has been running since 2000, organized by ITR and former Formula 1 driver Gerhard Berger.

Note: Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft and Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters were different race series but will be found under DTM.
