James Bond is here!

Mini GT announced on 8/27/24 the first two James Bond cars for pre-order!  Both are an Aston Martin DB5 with one of them displaying the various gadgets from the M Division activated.

The first DB5 is from the movie that made it famous, Goldfinger.  The 1:1 version had four produced (two to be used in the movie and two more for promotional use).  The car is based off a 1964 Aston Martin and was modified to be used in the movie with actual working gadgets.

Aston Martin later built 25 more DB5s in 2020 and called them the Goldfinger specification.

Mini GT number 00900 is not only the first James Bond car, its the first Mini GT Casting that will have various variations based on the country its sold in(versus RHD/LHD).  Each James Bond car will have a movie poster displayed on its blister that is appropriate for the market the car is bought in. For 00900, there will be three poster variations: English, French, and Japanese.  Each blister will show the hand drawn poster made for those markets. The model features some of its gadgets deployed including the bullet proof shield that came out of the trunk.

Mini GT number 00901 is the second James Bond release and features the same Aston Martin DB5, but this time featured in Thunderball.  Like the previous cars, it is offered in various variations depending on the market it is sold in.  The posters represent how the movie was advertised in the markets and includes posters in English, Spanish, French, and Japanese.

In case you are collecting these, the various numbers available for both cars are below.  Note that this release is the first time where a Mini GT number is followed by a dash and then a code "007" and then a letter: "E."  This letter represents the language the poster is in.
